The Night Owls Jazz Quartet was formed in 2002, in Grand Rapids Michigan with the mission of bringing their brand of small combo jazz to people far and wide. Since that time the band has played 100's of gigs spanning cities from Detroit and Chicago, to Shreveport, Louisiana. They have appeared in most cities in Michigan and have recorded more than 80 songs. They currently feature soloist Gary McCourry on saxophone with Paul Lesinski on piano, Chris Carr on bass and Paul Sherwood on drums. The band's repertoire contains over 1,000 songs. They put out a lot of energy and have the goal of making people happy and showing them a good time. This talented quartet plays jazz standards, bebop and postbop standards at a volume that will allow conversation and add class to any event. A singer can be added if desired by the client.
